Linglestown Tuesday news and links

Blight update … There has been some improvement in the condition of the former gas station on N. Mountain Road located just south of the historic village of Linglestown. The property is for sale. (The photo on the left was taken last fall, and the one on the right was taken today.)









Traffic advisory … According to PennDOT spokesman Greg Penny, a repair project on the the N. Mountain Road bridge over I-81 near Linglestown started today, and the road should now be reduced to from two to one lane in each direction. The traffic restrictions on the bridge will continue for a little more than three months.

Food drive update … I’m happy to report that the Linglestown Gazette Food Drive at Amelia’s Grocery Outlet has gotten off to a great start. As of this evening, about 100 lbs. of food, paper goods and baby supplies have been donated. Thanks so much!
