Linglestown news bits

Last weekend's Chocolate Walk sponsored by the Linglestown merchants attracted a sizable number of people, according to First Impressions co-owner Tina Robenolt.

There has been a buzz in the air in Linglestown on word that a new restaurant, Piazza of Linglestown, is coming to the former home of the Chocolate Cafe. The Italian restaurant could open as soon as March 1. I hope to do a video interview with the owners in the near future.

And Gordon's Family Restaurant in the plaza on N. Mountain Rd. across from Linglestown Elementary School is still under construction. Check back for more info on this eatery.

I visited the recently opened Kerry's Lawn & Garden on N. Mountain Rd. to take advantage of their pre-season mower tune-up special that runs through this Thursday.

The fine folks with community watchdog group SWAN have filled my inbox with recaps of recent Lower Paxton government meetings. Check back for a summary of need-to-know actions taken by our local officials.

For breaking news, be sure to check out the Gazette's Twitter page. By the way, there is no cost to join Twitter.
