Happenings at the 'new' Colonial Lounge

I reported a few weeks ago that the Colonial Lounge on N. Mountain Road has new owners. Below is a rundown of new things and weekly special events:

– A brand new deck is being built and the grand opening will be May 5 for the Cinco de Mayo deck party!

– Every Tuesday night – Texas Holdem Poker at 8:30 pm

– Every Wednesday night – Karaoke with Giavanni at 9 pm

– Every Friday night – live band starting at 10 pm! Tonight a group of Hershey called Driving Vegas! will be playing

CD alumni offer Hersheypark discounts

For the fourth year in a row, the Central Dauphin High School Alumni Association is pleased to be able to offer a great discount on Hersheypark tickets! You won’t see prices this low anywhere else, and they are only available for a limited time.

Tickets are good for any day during the regular 2011 season, beginning on May 6 and running through September 25 and include admission to Hersheypark, The Boardwalk at Hersheypark, and ZooAmerica.

Orders will be filled on a first come/first served basis, so don’t delay. Everyone is eligible to purchase and/or use these tickets, so feel free to forward this blog post to anyone you know who might like to be "Hersheypark Happy" this year! We have 180 Regular, 40 Junior/Senior, and 10 Super Senior tickets.

* Regular tickets (ages 9–54) are $34.00 each. Gate price at Hersheypark is $53.95.
* Jr/Sr tickets (ages 3–8 and 55–69) are $29.00 each. Gate price is $32.95.
* Super Senior (ages 70 and over) are $21.00 each. Gate price is $21.95.

Payment and mailing instructions are on the attached order form. Tickets will be mailed to you upon receipt.

Another eatery opens in Linglestown

NOTE: Opening day was Thursday, April 21, 2011.

Gordon's Family Restaurant is set to open its doors on Monday, April, 18, according to the sign in front of the shopping plaza on N. Mountain Road located across from the school complex.

* Lower Paxton Easter Egg Hunt at Brightbill Park, 1 pm, children ages 2–10, free. Don't forget to bring an Easter basket.

* Chicken BBQ at New Hope Church, 10 am–1 pm, drive-thru pick-up. Meal includes half chicken, baked potato, roll, drink and dessert for $7, or half chicken only for $4. CLICK HERE for directions to the church.

* Chicken BBQ at St. Thomas United Church of God, 10 am until sold out, drive-thru pick-up. Menu features half chicken, baked potato, apple sauce and roll. Baked good also available.

Linglestown weekender, April 8–9

* Consider taking the gang out to eat Friday evening at the famous fish dinner sponsored by Linglestown Fire Company, 5–7:30 pm. The menu includes your choise of baked or fried fish, french fries or macaroni and cheese, coleslaw, beverage and dessert. Cost is $9.50 for adults and $5.50 for children.

The dinner also will be held on April 15 and April 22.

* PA Kids Market , a children's consignment sale, is being held at Linglestown Life Church this Friday, 9 am–7 pm, and Saturday, 8 am– 2 pm.

* Also for kids, check out an indoor carnival to benefit Caitlin's Smiles this Saturday, noon–4 pm at New Hope Church.
