What’s a gazette?

The modern-day definition of “gazette” is a newspaper or official journal. For example, Ben Franklin published the Pennsylvania Gazette.

The Linglestown Gazette is an Internet-based news and information Web site that is published as a weblog, or blog. A blog is a newsletter (or personal journal) that is frequently updated and intended for general public consumption. The newest entry on a blog is shown at the top of the Web page.
