Committee queried on Rt. 39 project

The Village of Linglestown Committee met on Nov. 16 and responded to residents’ questions and concerns about the Route 39 improvement project tentatively scheduled to start spring 2007.

Many questions are surfacing now that the residents got a look at the proposed design during a public information session held the previous night.

Committee members discussed a need to tie down several details that the project engineer mentioned during Wednesday night’s public meeting. Also, residents and committee members talked about potential problems associated with a proposal to install concrete sidewalks throughout the village that would be stamped and dyed to look like bricks.
