Marzoni's, not Hoss's coming to Linglestown area
Linglestown Gazette reported earlier this year on a Hoss's Steak and Sea House that was in the works to be located near the Sheetz convenience store on Linglestown Road. Actually, Hoss's has another plan in mind.
The Patriot-News reported today that Hoss's "is in discussions" to construct a brew-pub restaurant called Marzoni's at the location, and is firming up plans to open one on the West Shore in spring 2008.
The news article cited Lew Bryson, a beer expert who probably has visited every brew-pub, micro-brewery and brewery in Pennsylvania and beyond. I saw him a couple times on a PA Books, a TV show on Pennsylvania Cable Network. Lew definitely knows his brewskies.

"suburban Altoona"? Isn't all of Altoona suburban?
Point well taken - Altoona is hardly a major metro area. I'll change it to "near Altoona."
Thanks for checking out the blog.
Altoona is a city, so if the restaurant is outside the city limits, it can be considered "suburban Altoona".
AS a native of Altoona and one familiar with the location of Marzoni's, I must say the descriptor of "near Altoona" is accurate and the best mentioned.
I'd like to a Sonic franchise in Linglestown. A good spot would be at the intersection of Mountain Rd and Lockwillow in the wooded lot at the light. Feel free to pass it on.
