* Linglestown youth baseball season's opening day is this Saturday, April 14, at Koons Park. Festivities begin at 11:30 am.

* Chicken Bar-B-Que capital of the world?

- April 14, drive-through BBQ at St. Thomas United Church of Christ, 6490 Linglestown Road, starting at 10 am, $6 donation.

- April 21, BBQ at Linglestown American Legion Post #272, 505 N. Mountain Road, starting at 10 am, $6 donation.

- April 28, BBQ at New Hope Church, 584 Colonial Club Drive, 10 am to 1 pm, $6.50 in advance, $7 day of BBQ, half chicken only $4. Proceeds will benefit a community park project at the church.
