Jumbo-sized restaurant in the works

Thanks to some digging by Linglestown Gazette reader Q and a Patriot-News article, the location of a planned 587-seat restaurant has been pinpointed.

Below is a partial description of the project from minutes of the Lower Paxton Township Planning Commission meeting on the April 11, 2007:

The township has received a plan for the construction of a restaurant, day spa salon, and office building. The restaurant and day spa salon will be located along the frontage of the property and the office building will be located in the rear of the property. The site is located along the north side of Linglestown Road between the existing Weis Markets and Dunkin Donuts. The property consists of 9.407 acres, is zoned CN, Commercial Neighborhood District and will be served by public sewer and public water.

The Planning Commission is slated to vote on the project Wednesday at 7 pm at the township municipal center, 425 Prince Street.

If eventually approved by the township supervisors, this project would add to the growing traffic congestion on Linglestown Road. CLICK HERE for more information on this issue from today's Patriot-News.
