Linglestown shorts

* Senor Pepe's Tex-Mex restaurant appears to have gone south of the border based on its telephone being disconnected and a "for sale" planted in front of the property. This is the second eatery to bite the dust at the commercial property along Mountain Road near I-81. -News tip by Q.

* Ben's Bagel Bakery and Cafe is coming soon to Papa John's plaza on Linglestown Road. They have another location at 3840 Union Deposit Road. -News tip by Q.

* Allison Weller, 13, of Linglestown, got a mention in Saturday's edition of The Patriot-News for being a Harry Potter fan.

* Capital Area Soccer Association with 2,000 players is one big step closer to its goal of building a $2 million to $4 million complex for the sport east of the village of Linglestown. Ben's Bagels expands:

Next month, Ben's Bagel Cafe will open at 5000 Linglestown Road, Lower Paxton Twp.

Ben's will serve its bagels along with sandwiches, wraps, breakfast fare, coffee and platter trays. They also do catering.

The bagels, more than 20 varieties, will be boiled and baked (never steamed) at Ben's Bagel's 5-year-old flagship store in Susquehanna Twp. and transported daily to the satellite cafe. The phone number will be 545-3195
