* Lower Paxton Township's Recycling Committee is looking for volunteers to help combat litter along township roads. CLICK HERE for details.

* Linglestown Fire Co. is sponsoring a motorcycle "Fire Ride" and dice run on Saturday, Aug. 25. In addition to the motorcycle ride, a chicken BBQ will take place the same day at the fire company's stone parking lot starting at 11 am.

* Lower Paxton Historial Society next meeting will be on Wednesday, Sept. 5. at 7 pm at the township's muncipal building, 425 Prince Street.

* New Hope Church in Linglestown is sponsoring a bus trip on Saturday, Dec. 1 to Wellsboro, Pa., for the community's 24th annual "Dickens of a Christmas."
