The weekend is fast approaching, so here's a look at local happenings this weekend and beyond:

* Friday & Saturday, Sept. 21-22 – Kids Market at New Hope Church. CLICK HERE for more info.

* Saturday, Sept. 22 – Linglestown Twilight baseball team will hold car wash from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm at Commerce Bank located in the Paxton Square Shopping Center on Allentown Blvd. Price is $5 for cars, and $10 for SUVs, trucks and vans. Proceeds benefit the Linglestown Baseball Association.

* Saturday, Sept. 22 – Boy Scout Troop 11 will hold a car wash at Linglestown Fire Co. from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Upcoming events:

* Sept. 28-30 – Fall Festival presented by the merchants of Linglestown.

* Sept. 29 – Chicken corn soup dinner at Linglestown Fire Co. from 11 am until supply is sold.

* Sept. 29 – The Pfeifers will be in concert at New Hope Church. Concert starts at 7:00 pm. Free will offering will be taken.

* Oct. 11 – Linglestown Garden Club's fall foliage trip to Penn's Peak Showplace in Jim Thorpe, Pa. CLICK HERE for show information. Cost of trip is $62. For more information, call Helen Drathler at 234-8979.
