Linglestown Gazette: Citizens seek eyesore cleanup

Citizens seek eyesore cleanup

The former gas station on Mountain Road has become an unsightly mess. The place is weed infested, trashed and now features graffiti. Quite a lovely gateway to the historic village – not!

Lower Paxton Township officials have been contacted to check out the property for code violations, according to posts on the PennLive.com Linglestown forum (see #204).

Too high a price ...

I have a friend who was going to put an Brusters ice cream shop there a couple years ago - but the kid (that's right - mid 20's in age) that ran the gas station wants WAY too much money for the location.

It's about an acre in size, mostly behind the station... Others have looked at it over the last couple of years and passed on the price as well.

Sad.

I know the guy

His name is Gary and he also owns the Mobil station on the corner of 10th & Lowther in Lemoyne. I'd put his age at more like early 30's, but I suppose he could be mid-20's.
