Linglestown's "Blue streets" section was mentioned in a Patriot-News article on problems streets with similar names pose to firefighters and emergency medical technicians.

Was a development years ago.

I live on one of those roads. When we moved here years ago, the gentlemen across the street told me that the place was a development project from back in the 40's and 50's. The roads were all named by the developer with a blue in the title because the area used to be called something like the "Blue Mountain Homes" or something like that.

He was one of the first to build in this area. Sadly, he passed several years ago.
