Roadside laundromat

Construction of the world's first roadside laundromat is under way along Wenrich Road in Linglestown. The first machine was installed over the weekend, and several more will be located along a half-mile stretch of the two-lane road.

The business owner, having battled with the local zoning board for approval of his innovative plan, is worried that his machines will be carted away by junk scavengers that scour Linglestown every Sunday night.

I better stop this spoof before it gets too far-fetched. Actually, this appears to be someone taking advantage of the Lower Paxton Township's bulk item collection service. CLICK HERE for more details.

The poor guy running this operation is getting people banging on his door day and night by customers who need change.

It's still fall. I just like to stir the pot a bit when some whacky ideas rise to the surface.

The photo was taken Sunday afternoon.
