Linglestown-area election recap

C.D. School Board race, two seats available: Incumbents Fred Thompson Jr. and Christian Malesic retained their seats with 5,659 and 3.679 votes respectively. There were 1,791 write-in votes, and Jay Purdy most likely got most of them in a losing cause.

Lower Paxton Township supervisors race, one seat available: Republican incumbent David Blain defeated Democrat Jay Purdy 5,317 to 3,294, according to unofficial returns. Purdy stopped campaigning in this race to challenge Malesic in the school board race.
