The Village of Linglestown Committee will be discussing the planned square improvement project during their regular monthly meeting tomorrow evening, Thursday, Jan. 17, at 7 pm at Linglestown Fire Company's brick building.

Flagpole trivia – Lio's Pizza & Sub Shop has a nice collection of historic photos of Linglestown along the ceiling in its dining room, including two of the flagpole. One shows a man painting the pole in 1927 (he's pictured near the top of the pole), and an undated photo gives a look at a much larger flagpole island than exists today.
