TGIF Linglestown

Start the New Year out in a “green” way by recycling your Christmas tree. You can send your tree to the fishes tomorrow, Saturday, Jan. 5, at Bass Pro Shops at the Harrisburg Mall (formerly Harrisburg East Mall) – you’ll even get a gift if you get there before 100 trees are donated. Or, have Lower Paxton Township chop your Yuletide evergreen into mulch by taking it to Koons Park.

State Rep. Ron Marsico has issued his Weekly Roundup that describes what House Republicans are doing for you.

Looks like Patriot-News political reporter Brett Lieberman reads Linglestown Gazette.

Hey for anyone who does not get the chance to get over to The Bass Pro with their tree. I have another idea.

Last year I tucked our christmas tree out back and let it loose its
foliage (pine needles), and then I cleaned it up this year and spray painted it with a pewter spray (you could use any color though) and set it up in our dining room with pewter, silver, white and glass ornaments. It looks great!

We did get a real tree for the living room, but the skelo'tree in the dining room is my favorite!

And, if you have a photo of the "skelo' tree," please submit a copy to share with Gazette readers by e-mailing it to bb@billbostic.com.
