Tuesday tidbits

* On the floor of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, Rep. Ron Marsico today recognized the Central Dauphin High School girls' soccer team for being crowned state co-champions last spring.

* Today’s The Patriot-News has a disturbing editorial about the culture at the tax collection bureau that serves residents in the Linglestown area and other communities in the Harrisburg region. Kudos to CD school director Justin McShane (pictured) for taking a stand for taxpayers.

If things are actually this bad, why haven't criminal charges been filed. Has Mr. McShane met with the Tax people and showed them why he believes there is a problem. It seems to me that all newspapers like to embellish the facts in an attempt to increase their declining circulation.

Several news reports about problems at Capital Tax Collection Bureau (CTCB) have appeared in The Patriot-News over the past year. Officials from several municipalities, including Lower Paxton Township, have been leading an effort to ensure that tax dollars are properly distributed by CTCB.
