A call for help from Gazette's editor

I need your help!

Please help me to help the underserved in a nearby community by doing a couple easy to do things:

First, take a few minutes to watch the video that explains what’s happening with the first-ever Linglestown Gazette Food Drive at Amelia’s Grocery Outlet on N. Mountain Road, Monday, March 31 through Saturday, April 5.

Second, seriously consider making a contribution. I’d like to blow away the beneficiary of the drive with an amazing amount of donations, and it’s very possible if every Gazette reader and some shoppers at Amelia's pitch in a few items.

I’ll post updates on the amount of food and other items that are contributed.

Together, we can put Linglestown on the map as being a giving community.

Great job and great idea. You can count me in!! Are you going to be at Amelia's on any certain days or times?

Hi, Q. Thanks much for your willingness to support the food drive!

I will be at Amelia's on an as-needed basis to unload the cart, but I don't have a set schedule to be at the store. A cart with a "Food Drive" banner is located just inside the store entrance.

I posted professionally-made signs around Linglestown -- four near Amelia's along N. Mountain Rd,, one at the intersection of Blue Mtn. Pkway and Rt. 39, and one on Blue Bird Avenue at the traffic light near Hornung's Hardware.

Also, I'm working on getting publicity in The Patriot-News and from the local electronic media.
