Eagle Hotel gets five-star review

Q, a Gazette reader and occasional contributor, checked out the Eagle this past weekend, and he submitted this review:

Great service, great brew, great food!

I was in the mood for some wings on Saturday. We have gift cards to Kokomo's and we cut out the coupon for the Eagle Hotel that was in one of those coupon mailings. At 5 pm, Kokomo's on Linglestown Road was packed, so I decided to give the Eagle a shot. I had only been to the Eagle a few times and only ate there once a few years ago. Well, we surely will be making the Eagle a frequent stop. It was the first time having their wings and they sure lived up to the hype! There were a few other families there, and it was to my surprise kid friendly! Great service, great brew, great food! I can't wait to go back and try other entrees!

The Eagle is open Monday-Saturday. I'm not sure when it opens, but they do serve lunch.

Late and rude service and the wings were stone cold. I am a local resident and try to be fair in reviews of establishments. I would not recommend the Eagle hotel to anyone.

I have always had a great meal at the Eagle-I think that this last reader may have something wrong with them--rude service, cold food?? You must of gone to the Saint Thomas rest. across the street, not the eagle! Love that place!!!

We love the Eagle, the food is always and I mean always constant in its quality..suberb! We go there often and have sampled just about everything and NEVER had a bad meal. As for the reader above that had a bad exp. you should really give it another shot-we have been going there for years and never, ever exp. anything even close to what you reported...are you sure you are not disgruntled competion?!

Bill himself owner of the AWARD winning Wing shack must have had his say in this, blaming the restaurant across the street for his cold wings. At least his rudeness didn't fall from his parents for he certainly is a piece of work. Why is it called a hotel with an occupancy of only the family? I thought there was specific rules about this. I'll never frequent the eagle hotel again.
