Linglestown Tuesday update

Kids stuff for sale Kids Market is setting up shop this Friday, 9 am to 7 pm, and Saturday, 8 am to 2 pm at New Hope Church on Colonial Club Drive. I got some good feedback about this event after it took place last September.

* Host homes needed French students ages 13-19 are looking for host families to welcome them to the Harrisburg area August 6-26. You and your children will learn about life in France while showing these young people how Americans live and help them to improve their English. It’s great fun, and life-long friendships have been built on these visits. The visits are arranged through LEC, a non-profit French organization with American coordinators.

CD sports In softball, Sara Romano’s home run helps CD (6-1, 1st in divison) to 10-0 win Monday over Red Land. … On the diamond, Red Land upended CD (6-3, tied for 3rd in division) 7-3. … On the court, CD boys' volleyball team topped Altoona in three straight games in a best-of-five match.
