Linglestown weekend preview

Good food for your tummy ... Head to Linglestown Fire Company tonight, Friday, April 11 for a spaghetti dinner from 5 to 8 pm at the station, $6 donation.

Good stuff for your ears ... Music at St. Thomas Roasters on the village square Friday night, 8 to 10 pm features a must-see-and-hear performance by Frank Cotolo (pictured) and his sons, Jack and Ray. You never know what Frank will pull out of his magic guitar and music library, and this time around he’s vowed to do something never done before on a coffee house stage anywhere in the inhabited universe. Come on, turn off your computer and saunter down to Roasters. You’ll be glad you did!

Shoeless Grooves, a jazz band out of Anneville, is scheduled to perform Saturday at Roasters, 8 pm.

And, don’t forget the charity basketball tournament that benefits The Four Diamonds Fund at CD High School on Saturday from 9 am to 3 pm. CLICK HERE for more details.

CD sports On the soccer pitch, Allicia Yurkovic's first-half goal, off an assist from Jocelyn Weidner, sparked CD to a 1-0 victory Wednesday over Manheim Twp. Amy Gouldner made eight saves for the Rams (6-0), who have yet to be scored upon this season. … In girls’ lacrosse from Wednesday, Carlisle defeated CD 9-7. Megan Mauck, Hayley Shaver and Kendra Sutherland had two apiece for the Rams.

Linglestown Fire Company will be holding a Spaghetti Dinner Friday evening from 5-8PM at the station.

Thanks much for heads up about the fire company fundraiser. Sounds like a good deal for people like me who don't like to cook, especially at end of workweek.
