Linglestown weekender

CD photography students getting some ink Life Images, a photography and journaling quarterly magazine, plans to publish photography and writing in its July 1 edition by the following CD High School students – Anila Bhatti, Danielle Bostic, Bekah Woolf, Bretney Endy, Nicole Albright, Kelli Stramatis, Dylan Sites, Adina Crouse and Kate Veronkis, along with their teacher Michael Bricker.

The work that will be featured came from a class project called “Facing the Demons,” which was featured in a recent Linglestown Gazette video.

The magazine is sold locally at Michael’s and Borders.

Music at Roasters update You missed a great time last night at St. Thomas Roasters as the Cotolo boys of Grantville put on quite a show. Thanks guys!

Tonight the coffee house located in the village square features the jazz sounds of Shoeless Grooves (pictured), 8 pm, no cover. CLICK HERE to check them out.

Take me out to the ballpark East Shore Twilight League champions Linglestown Twilight baseball team is looking for volunteers to fill the following game-day positions – scoreboard operator, game announcer and concession stand attendants. The team’s first home game is on Thursday, May 22. For more info, call 545-9558 and ask for Brian.

Tentatively, I’m slated to do some announcing and possibly post-game video segments that will be posted on Linglestown Gazette.

CD sports On the court, CD volleyballers got back in the winning column Thursday by defeating cross-township rival CD East 3 games to none. Senior outside blocker Nick Sheleman blasted 19 kills and three aces for the Rams (5-3, tied for 3rd in division). … In boys' tennis, CD (3-3, tied for 3rd in division) dropped a match Thursday to division-leading Chambersburg by a count of 5-2. … CD’s girls’ soccer team (7-0, tied for first in division) continued its winning ways Thursday downing Cedar Cliff 3-2. Allicia Yurkovic posted two goals and Sarah Dowhower one for the Rams. Source Link
