CD sports – postseason action

Girls’ soccer The Lady Rams whipped the Chambersburg Trojans for the third time this season by a count of 3-0 to advance in the District 3 AAA tourney. Kate Yurkovic (pictured, #10 in white) buried two second-half scores and Allye Landis polished off an Allison Snyder corner to top off the scoring for the Rams (16-2-0). Amy Gouldner (3 saves) pitched her 12th shutout for CD. Up next for the second-seeded Rams is a quarterfinal match-up with seventh-seeded Penn Manor at Northeastern H.S. tomorrow, Saturday, May 17 at 5:30 pm. Source Link

Boys’ volleyball In the Mid-Penn Volleyball Championships, CD defeated Carlisle 3-1 to advance to the title match, but got knocked off by always-tough Cumberland 3-1 in the finale. CLICK HERE for a tournament report by The Patriot News.
