CD sports update – Monday action, soccer preview

* Chambersburg Trojans pulled off a comeback win Monday to knock the CD Rams baseball team out of the District 3 playoff mix. CLICK HERE for a game report by Eric F. Epler of The Patriot-News.

* CD boys volleyballers pounded out a 3-1 win in a best of 5 match Monday against Warwick to advance to District 3 quarterfinal pool play on Wednesday, May 21, 4:30 pm at Central York H.S. CLICK HERE for a match summary. (Coverage is located below the advertisement.)

* Today’s District 3 softball playoff game at Brightbill Park between CD (3rd seed) and Exeter Township (14th seed) has been postponed due to wet weather until tomorrow, Wednesday, May 21 at 6:30 pm.

* CLICK HERE for a preview of tonight’s District 3 girls’ soccer semifinal game between CD and Wilson that will be contested on the carpet at Hersheypark Stadium, 5:30 pm.

* Three CD girls' lacrosse players have been named to the Mid-Penn Conference All-Stars. Top honors went to senior goalie Erin Myers who snagged a first-team selection. Making the second team were junior midfielder Kendra Sutherland and senior defender Jordan Anderson.
