Saturday happenings …

* Summer Sales Expo at New Hope Church on Colonial Club Drive from 9 am to 2 pm. The expo will feature local independent consultants and business owners, displaying and selling their products and services. This is a first-time event, so please take a few minutes to check it out. Door prizes will be awarded every half hour!

* Linglestown Twilight baseball doubleheader against Valley View at Koons Park; games start at 1 pm and 4 pm.

* Linglestown Church of God will hold its annual drive-thru chicken BBQ and flea market. The church is located across from Linglestown Fire Co.

* A multi-family yard sale will be held at 1420 Adams Avenue in Linglestown starting at 6 am.

Sunday’s big event … The Chocolatetown Cafe in Linglestown will host the last lecture of a three-part series entitled "Postmodernism and the Church." The presentation will deal with how the church can best respond to postmodernistic points of view. The featured speaker is Dr. Kenneth Miller of Evangelical Theological Seminary in Myerstown. There will be a Q&A session and light refreshments after the formal part of the program. The series sponsors are the seminary and Schoffstall Foundation.
