Koons Pool watch

Pictured are two volunteers working today in the 4 pm hour to ready Koons Park pool for swimming. They appeared to be cleaning the pool walls with brushes and a vacuum system.

Several of us have driven by every other day and did notice work commencing on Koons pool again yesterday with considerable work still needed to be operational.

I was very happy to see a letter and subsequent membership application was mailed out to prior members yesterday noting no renewal increase in rates for the 2008 season due to the delays.

In order to be competitive with pools that are open for business now, retain current memberships as well as obtain new members the board may want to re-consider the amount of discount offered for the month lost and the non ability for members to take advantage of the usual pay before May 15th early rate.

I will gladly dedicate my time to post contact information for clean up volunteers, membership renewals and a downloadable application, life guard and manager applications on here and / or a blog dedicated to the pool in which I would transfer to the pool manager once hired. This information was provided in the letter to members however, I do not want to do so without prior approval from the board.
