Linglestown Twilight squeaks by Steelton

Watch the video for a game summary, action shots and a pair of player interviews about Linglestown Twilight's stirring 4-3 victory Wednesday over Steelton.

The team sits atop the East Shore Twilight league with a 9-1 record (15-1 overall).

Game notes Twilight started the game with an extremely short bench, forcing coach Steve Econ to put two pitchers in the lineup who normally do not play in the field. They were replaced in the third inning after a couple field players arrived late. Steve Booker batted seconds after donning his uniform. … Bryan Stovall hit a two-RBI double in the fourth inning. … Twilight scored the tying run in the 7th inning on four consecutive singles by Ken Connor, Brad Sanders, Aaron Confer and Steve Booker.

Busy times for Twilight ... The team will go on the road for a Friday game at nearby Lawnton, 6 pm first pitch, and a twin bill Saturday at Valley View, first game will start at 1 pm. The weekend ends with a home game Sunday.

Next home game Twilight will host Lykens this Sunday, June 22, 5 pm at Koons Park at the full-sized ball field along Balthaser Street. Come out and cheer on the Harrisburg region's hottest baseball team – admission is FREE!
