Linglestown Twilight winning streak rolls on

KOONS PARK (June 11) – Linglestown Twilight baseball team crushed Steelton 12-2 Wednesday at Koons Park to win its eighth straight (8-1 record) to remain on top of the East Shore Twilight League heap.

Brian Zellers led the team offensively with two homers that produced three RBIs. He went two-for-three with a walk and scored three runs. Scott Montgomery also hit a dinger, a solo shot down the left-field line in the fourth inning.

Josh Muscalus started his first regular season game and picked up the win in a 94-pitch outing, fanning eight batters over five and one-third innings of the seven-inning game. After Muscalus was touched for two runs in the sixth inning, Linglestown coach Steve Econ brought in reliever Jim Miller to finish out the game.

Check back for a Linglestown TV post game show that will be posted sometime Thursday if all goes as planned.
