Twilight gets back in win column

Steve Booker struck out eight and only needed 81 pitches Sunday evening in crafting a two-hitter as Linglestown Twilight downed Lykens/Wiconisco 3-1 at Koons Park.

After L/W went on top on a solo homer by Ryan Lentz in the third inning, Booker helped himself by hitting a three-run roundtripper in the bottom half of the inning to put Twilight in the lead for good.

Twilight notes The win over L/W came on the heels of Linglestown losing a doubleheader Saturday at Valley View in Schuylkill County. Prior to the loses at VV, Linglestown had won 10 straight East Shore Twilight league games. ... Booker was named player-of-the-game for the second straight time that Linglestown TV was on hand to cover a game.
