Linglestown under-9 team grabs tourney's top seed

PALMYRA (July 19) – Linglestown Baseball Association's 9-and-under team had two impressive victories Saturday in the Palmyra Tournament, earning them the No. 1 seed.

Linglestown won the first game 16-4 over Palmyra with a standout performance on the mound by Jordan Sellers. Athan Graham and Braydon Parr had clutch doubles.

Parr, who started the second game on the mound, kept Elizabethtown off-guard with a crafty mix of pitches, including a knuckleball. Derek Danko finished off the game in relief, throwing only three pitches to get three outs in the final inning. Luke McNamara had a gold-glove performance at first base in Linglestown's 7-2 win.

At 3:30 pm today, Linglestown will take on the winner of the 1 pm game between Annville and Susquehanna.
