LP firefighters battle Parkway blaze

According to the news brief, the fire was along Blue Mountain Parkway near the entrance to Blue Meadows Farm. I drove the full length of the road today and didn't spot a fire-damaged structure.

In a related issue, tap water is slightly discolored in parts of the Linglestown area this morning because firefighters tapped into the public water system to fight the fire. According to a United Water Pennsylvania customer service rep, the water is safe to drink and does not need to be boiled. "The system needs time to correct itself," she said.
