LYKENS (July 16) – Pete Hayden scattered eight hits and two walks to go with five Ks to get past Lykens/Wisconisco 9-1 Wednesday. Ken Conner led off the third inning with a triple, followed by an RBI single by Jake Warshawsky. From there, Linglestown added eight more hits and eight more runs to win the game. Brad Sanders was three-for-four, and Sean Frailey had two hits during the six-run sixth inning. The game was a bright spot with a number of players picking up for the shortened squad. Rhys Wolford made his first at-bat appearance of the season as a designated hitter, getting a sacrifice bunt down along with a walk and a line out.

Twilight (15-5-2, first place) plays a game this evening at Koons Park against Lawnton, first pitch at 6 pm. Friday evening Twilight hosts Middletown at 6 pm.
