Warning posted near Koons Park

Balthaser Street near Koons Park was blanketed sometime Saturday with signs warning people to be on the lookout for a child predator. I made Lower Paxton Twp. police aware of the signs. Anyone with any information about the identity of who distributed the signs or information about the allegation is encouraged to call the police at (717) 657-5656 or the Lower Paxton Tip Line at (717) 635-2606.

NOTE: A photo of the sign has been removed from this post because the individual that it targets apparently lives near Koons Park. Despite a pair of comments posted by an "anonymous" reader, there is no way to determine if the allegation is credible or not. I plan to contact LP police for an update about this situation.

This sign is a slanderous lie. Please remove it from your blog... The owner of the titan lives down the street from me and is not a child predator.

The police have been contacted and the owner of the Titan is being treated unjustly by this flyer being posted on your blog. Please remove it...It's a simple request - why can't you honor it.

thank you for removing the picture of the posters. just an FYI - I would love to not post as an anonymous but I already have too many names and passwords to remember. By the way once you contact the police tomorrow you will find that the allegations are not credible and the owner of the Titan is pursueing legal action against the loser who posted these lies all over the neighborhood. Also this knucklehead had all of the children around here all nervous and worked up everytime my neighbor drove down the street. that person needs to get a life and remember KARMA always comes around...

I contacted the police and a policeman called me back and said he knew nothing about it. I was a little upset after my conversation with him. You would think that when a concerned citizen with children contacts the police with information like this they would be a little more willing to investigate it. Sometimes I wonder if we are really being protected.

If this is a hoax, it is a real shame. Do people have nothing better to do with their time than publicly slander another individual.
