Give the Central Dauphin School District an F- in the way parents were notified. First, we received a call at 5:48 that simply said "Good morning...due to a police incident in the district, school will be delayed 2 hours" (no name given, for all we know someone could have hacked into the system). Secondly,
River 97.3 was announcing "Paxtonia closed" at 6am (and there was no retraction later from The River when they simply announced "CD Schools, 2 hour delay". Last, another 2 calls just before 8am announcing a 2 hour delay for all CD schools, followed by another call from the Paxtonia principal stating 2 hour delay for Paxtonia students. Oh, and did I mention the e-mail at 8AM that finally said (2 hour delay, including Paxtonia. We're all for safety, but let's get our story straight!
