Got the holiday blues? … The holiday season more or less comes to an unofficial end today, and that means it’s time to go back to the so-called “real world.” Now what?

How about some Lovin’ Linglestown for the upcoming season of hearts and roses. Yes, I’m referring to Valentine’s Day.

Several merchants in the village of Linglestown are cookin’ up a special promotion for the first big holiday of 2009. Watch for more details on Linglestown Gazette.

Magazines needed … Instead of throwing magazines that pile up in your home and office in the trash, please consider donating them to Pennsylvania Partnerships Abroad (PPA), a Linglestown-based non-profit group headed by Bill Minsker (pictured) that teaches “English” language in Poland.

Reader’s Digest Condensed Books (since 1990), and recently issued magazines on the topics of travel, history, sports, art, music, geography, youth and family topics, wildlife and animals, cars, and science are needed.
