Gazette news roundup ... It's "happy tales" time in Lower Paxton, and that's because the township could be the home of the first public dog park on the East Shore this spring. ... NIMBY arguments were flying left and right during a public meeting Tuesday night when West Hanover officials gave the green light for a planned work-release center along Allentown Boulevard close to township's border with Lower Paxton. ... State Rep. Ron Marsico checks in with a bulletin about a government give-away program. ... Attention Linglestonians – The Lower Paxton Twp. Zoning Hearing Board will review Triple Crown Corporation's request for a special exemption to operate a car wash at the former gas station (pictured) on N. Mountain Road next to the First National Bank of Marysville branch, Thursday, Feb. 26, 7 pm, at the Municipal Center.

Tonight ... The top-seeded Central Dauphin Lady Rams basketball team will play a District 3 Quad-A quarterfinal game against cross-township rival Central Dauphin East Panthers at Hershey High School, 7:30 pm tip off.

Saturday ... Linglestown Life is sponsoring a FREE men's event this Saturday, Feb. 21, 9:30 am–1 pm, that will feature pro football coaching great Tony Dungy. (Dungy won't be in Linglestown, but his speech will be shown live via satellite feed.) CLICK HERE for more details.
