Wish the article touched on the assumptions made in arriving at the projected savings figure. Things like reductions actual KWH, gallons, or MCF being consumed. Oh well.

This is great, although the article did not say exactly, it sounds as though the CD School District is entering into a performance contract with Honeywell. If so this is awesome because it does not cost the taxpayer, all the money put into upgrades is paid out of the energy savings over a 15 year period. From reading other articles, I am under the impression that Honeywell did an excellent job with West Chester University and other institutions in the U.S.

The article says the school district will spend $8 million this year to save an estimated $15 million over 15 years.

Assuming the savings figure is a good number, it appears to be a good deal.
