Monday’s pile of stuff

* Koons Pool recently received a $500 sponsorship from Linglestown Life, the church located just north of the village square.

* Gazette congrats go out to the cast, production staff and crew of CD High’s spring musical Annie Get Your Gun. I attended the Sunday matinee along with my wife and daughter. Hats off to Erin Kelly, a sophomore, for doing an outstanding job in the lead role of Annie Oakley. (Erin shared the spotlight with Victoria Ernst – they each did three performances.)

* Speaking of the arts, Harrisburg Christian School had about 1,300 people from the community attend performances of the musical Oliver earlier this month. Plus, many other cool things are happening at the school located a couple miles north of Linglestown on Blue Mountain Parkway. CLICK HERE to get in the know.

* The new KoKoMos Wings Express will open its doors today, according to a sign posted on the front of the store located in the plaza along Linglestown Road that is anchored by Papa John’s Pizza.

* In the Gazette’s ongoing effort to keep tabs on our elected officials, state Sen. Jeff Piccola has scheduled hearings to consider ways to improve the state’s charter school law. Piccola chairs the Pa. Senate’s education committee.
