UPDATE: Linglestown improvement project

The proposed public waterline that would serve businesses and homes along Route 39 in the historic village of Linglestown is still in limbo, according to Lower Paxton Twp. manager George Wolfe.

About 48 property owners have indicated a desire to replace their private wells by connecting to public water. The Village of Linglestown Committee had hoped to get 60, the number needed to produce a cost per connection of $2,800. Each property owner would incur additional plumbing costs to run a line from the street to their home or business.

"The water line is now in the good graces of United Water Pennsylvania," said Wolfe.
