Today’s Top Story …

Bow-wow good times coming to Lower Paxton

Work to install fencing at Happy Tails Dog Park has begun, and park officials told the township supervisors Tuesday evening that the facility at Kohl Memorial Park should be available for use late next week.

The park will have separate areas for small and large dogs, and only dogs that have been spade will be permitted to mix it up with their four-legged friends.

The Lower Paxton Dog Park Association has raised over $12,000 to offset costs associated with setting up the park. The group expects to receive a $10,000 state grant in the near future.

A “leash-cutting” ceremony will be held to officially dedicate the park on Saturday, May 23.
