Linglestown baseball, Monday scores

Pony: Mets 9 – Colts 4 … Starting pitcher Cole Moyer of the Colts (2–2) dominated Mets hitters through two and two-third innings, but he was lifted after reaching his maximum pitch count. Sebastian Collins of the Mets (2–1) then smoked a line-drive double back through the middle with the bases loaded to tie the game at four. The Mets stayed in the game early with a strong starting pitching performance from Erin Delpierre.

Midget: Cubs 8 – Braves 5 … Lesko and Bender had two doubles each, and Hatcher added another double as the Cubs (1–2) picked up their first win of the young season. For the Braves (0–4), Correale homered and singled, and Hess and Wenrich both doubled and singled.
