CD school board candidate's allegations rebutted

The following letter-to-the-editor was submitted by Norm Dallago, husband of Region 2 candidate Linda Dallago.
____

There comes a time when you simply must stand up and defend your good name, and this is one of those times.

In the Central Dauphin School Board race between Linda Dallago and the incumbent Justin McShane, Mr. McShane has crossed the line in an attempt to dishonor not only a candidate, but that candidate's family and reputation in this community.

Today, Justin McShane sent a mailer out to super voters trying to depict Linda, myself, and our business, InfoQuest Technologies, Inc., as a shady supporter of Erotica, Drugs, and Gambling. I don't have many outlets, but since I do follow high school wrestling and visit Penn Live forums, I know this forum exists and thought I'd post my comments here.

Do we really want someone on the school board who would stoop to that level to maintain a seat on the board.Perhaps we should call him mr. Mc shame.

Perhaps Mr. McShane is used to attacking credibility and character in the courtroom - but come on, this is a school board. Central Dauphin School Board at that!

No one benefits from these childish actions and most intelligent people (who have done research about the company Mr. McShane attacks) are able to see right through this desperate attempt to smear the candidate's character.

Here's a question about character... how can you defend someone charged with DUI who ACTUALLY is guilty? How does this benefit the community, your family, and this school district? How can you face the victims of drunk drivers and walk out with a sly smile on your face?

No wonder Mr. McShane is "forced" into paying for his own campaign -- I can't think of anyone with enough low self-esteem to financially support such a mud slinging campaign.

I went to those websites. Looks like a place where you can buy a bong alright. nice try calling it "blown glass artwork." it's a bong.

Rob Nease, it says you are a website owner in your profile. Do you own one of those sites?

Also ever heard o fthe constitution?

What website? That company is out of business? There is no website. What are you referring to?

Well put Mr. Nease. McShame is not getting my vote.

This is not an issue of a hosting company, its owner and his wife (who happens to be running for a school board position) supporting drugs, erotica or gambling.

This is a slanderous attempt to make an association that's not only untrue but damages the reputation of both respected individuals and a business for political gain.

I'm a business person and as such will use all remedies available to me by law to hold accountable both the individuals and organizations responsible for these mailings and comments.

@Anonymous 10:46 am: I usually don't reply to anonymous comments because, quite frankly, I appreciate it when I can put a name and match it with an opinion.

However, the answer to your question is no - I do not know or do business with either Ms. Dallago or Mr. McShane. Therefore, I am completely unbiased when it comes to this issue.

You may visit my website by clicking on the appropriate link on my profile. Like Mr. Bostic, I volunteer my time to offer a website that benefits the community.

Another note, if you will. With all this research Mr. McShane has performed on the Dallago business online - you would think he would invest that in actually filling in the "Terms of Use" and "Privacy Policy" pages on his own website, www.votemcshane.com

That's hilarious. A blank privacy policy and terms of use statement on a lawyers website. That totally made my day. The word that comes to mind for me with regard to him is "clueless".

I spent a few hours campaigning for Linda today at 21st precinct (Faith Presbyterian Church, Colonial Road) and when I spoke with the other volunteers they could not believe what McShane did. I really think that the last minute desperate attempt will harm his chances.

A representative from McShane's campaign was there in a suit and tie and I showed up in a white t-shirt with shorts. LOL

Gary Crissman and Bill Hawk showed up and stayed for quite a while. Both were very friendly - but it seems that no one is running against them for township supervisor positions. Mr. Crissman was having so much fun at the site, that Mr. Hawk had to "hint" at him that it was time to move on. Met with some very nice people including Judge Dowling's daughter and the wife of the constable running for re-election. Sorry, but I can't think of his name.

I went to my precinct where I was unable to even vote for McShane or Dallago. All I heard there was a bunch of insults flying between a democrat and republican volunteer. The Lower Paxton Twp. Bldg. voting place was dead.

I voted early afternoon at polls located at St. Thomas United Church of Christ located just east of Linglestown.

CD school board member and LP GOP assistant committeeman Christian Malesic was greeting voters, sporting a "Dowling for Judge" T-shirt.
