Linglestown diamond notes, 05.21.09

Pony Division

Mets 14 – Padres 1 (game played Monday, May 18)

Owls 11 – Colts 10 ...Cole Moyer of the Colts (3–7) pitched a good game Tuesday in a tight battle with the first-place Owls. Topping off a three-for-four night at the plate for the Owls, Athan Graham knocked in Larry Fausnight to plate the winning run. Evan Zeigler was strong on the mound for the Owls with seven strikeouts.

Mets 15 – Rams 6 ... The second-place Mets (7–2) had some big hits Wednesday from Erin Delpierre and Sebastian Collins that were followed up with a big defensive stand led by Luke McNamara, who pitched two shutout innings to lock up the win. The Rams (1–9) had a flurry of hits from Nate Kindt and Tyler Thomas, two of the younger guys on the team.

Midget Division

Tigers 10 – Orioles 1 ... The Tigers (11–0) got great pitching from J.T. Fredericks, Jordan Sellers and Braydon Parr who combined to no-hit the Orioles (4–7). Aaron Gress homered for the Tigers.
