* Gazette congrats go out to
Daniel Allegar (pictured), a Central Dauphin Middle School eighth-grader, who competed in the national spelling bee held last month in Washington, D.C. He missed making the semifinal round despite doing well in the early stages of the contest. CLICK HERE for more details from The Patriot-News.

* Rep. Ron Marsico has info about state solar energy grants and a new deadline for applying for property tax/rent rebates. He's also encouraging Gazette readers to vacation close to home.
