Twilight powers past Hummelstown

Linglestown Twilight (12–2) continued its winning ways by downing Hummelstown 6–2 Tuesday on the road.

Linglestown erased Hummelstown’s early one-run lead by scoring four in the third inning. Nate Shroy (pictured) started things off by blasting a solo homer to right field that cleared the fence by a bunch. Hummelstown aided the rally by committing two errors that allowed runners to score.

Center fielder Jason Kelly packed a punch offensively with two hits, three runs scored, a run batted in and two stolen bases. Another top performer was right fielder Kyle Hollingsworth who contributed three hits and two RBIs.

Josh Muscalus was the winning pitcher. He pitched five innings, allowing four hits and striking out four.

Twilight notes … The game was called for darkness in the seventh inning after Hummelstown’s Matt Bobb slapped a double. … Twilight is off until Tuesday, July 7, when they host Middletown at Koons Park.
