Crime watch, 08.22.09

* Several unlocked cars had GPS units, digital cameras and other items removed last Saturday into Sunday (Aug. 15–16) in a Linglestown neighborhood located near Koons Park, according to Lower Paxton Twp. police.

The thief fled the area after a homeowner spotted him in a car. Most of the stolen items were found stashed in backyards and under porches of homes along Jerome Blvd. and Judy Lane. However, a handgun that was ripped off was not recovered. Police did extensive searches for the gun and alerted residents to keep an eye out for the weapon.

Lower Paxton Twp. police apprehended a 25-year-old woman with a toddler Thursday afternoon in Linglestown for stealing a car and driving with an expired driver’s license.
