Lower Paxton updates, 08.04.09

* REMINDER: Lower Paxton Twp. Police Department will hold its annual "Night Out for Public Safety" at Koons Park this evening, 6 pm to dusk.

The event features helicopter landings, hot-air balloon rides, free food, music and displays and activities by public safety groups and first responders that serve our community.

* The supervisors are scheduled to meet this evening at the Municipal Center, 7:30 pm. The meeting will be broadcast live on Comcast channel 20.

I called the township office for a rundown of the meeting agenda since it wasn't posted on the township Web site, and only run-of-the-mill issues are up for action.
