Where was Christian Malesic on this? ... missed the vote and has been publicly silent on it.
Where was Chris Judd on this? Who knows? ... has publicly ignored it.
Melissa Van Eck spoke out against the secrecy and irrationally of the transportation outsourcing.
Malesic has worked for Judd's election so he can be board president.
With Melissa Van Eck, we can prevent this nightmare and get an intelligent and open board member
proven to put the interests of students and taxpaywers foremost.

In previous posting, "taxpaywers" should be "taxpayers."

Why is only one school board member being singled out? Mr. Malesic was not even there when the vote when down. He was on a vacation that was schedule many months prior to this. This was voted on by Kathy Stone, Ford Thompson etc.Who has said that Mr. Malesic wants to be school board president? Mr. Purdy shame on you for singling one person out.

Boo-hoo, boo-hoo brave ANONYMOUS. Get your facts straight... Ford Thompson moved to table the outsourcing measure and, when that was unsuccessful, voted against the contract.
Even if it were impossible for him to shift his vacation, during the weeks leading up to the vote on this issue, the crickets were louder than Christian.

I say it's time to single out each and every board member for the actions they have taking on breaking this contract. Start at the polls on November 3rd. Which candidate was looking out for "Me the taxpayer?" Which candidate expressed that,"Me the taxpayer should have some input." Which candidate showed up for "Me the taxpayer?" If you attended school board you know that its been "Melissa Van Eck for Me."

Every school board member should be singled out on this issue. Why is it that the taxpayers never get to vote on these issues when it is their tax dollars at risk??? One school board member does not make or break a vote anyway!!!

I had heard that all the bus drivers were were going to work for Durham under a union contract. What gives with the breaking news that just came out that they were being furloughed on Nov. 9th????

CDBDA Driver's lined up today to recieve there furlough letters. I know no CDBDA driver has been hired by Durham School Service. So what union contract are you talking about that the drivers are working for Durham under? The only contract that the drivers have is the one the school board is trying to break. So come Friday the 6th when the drivers punch out they have no job. Though Mrs. Stone announced at Monday night school board meeting that Durham was hiring all the drivers. How can she say publicly that Durham is hiring all the drivers when she doesn't speak for Durham. Oh right she was saying that for the big fat check she putting into the coffers from 130 drivers who are no longer district employees.

OK...even this whole bus driver issue aside...CD is secretive about everything. I emailed a School Board member weeks ago regarding all the illnesses going on at the schools and circulating rumors and have yet to receive any definite communication. No communciation comes to the taxpayers of this district.
