Village project to start next week
The contractor for the long-awaited Linglestown improvement project has received the go-ahead from PennDOT to start work, according to Village of Linglestown Committee member Bill Minsker. Construction crews should be on the job next Tuesday. Before the dirt starts flying, a groundbreaking ceremony will be held Monday, Nov. 16 at 11:30 am at Linglestown Church of God, which is located off of Linglestown Road across from the new firehouse. U.S. Rep. Tim Holden, who helped secure funding for the project, is expected to attend, along with Lower Paxton Twp. and state government officials.

Sure hope they give a heads up on where they are going to start and how it is going to effect traffic so people can plan their trip to work etc.
Why must they always do these things when most working people can't come.
Traffic will not be re-routed until the Spring of 2010. The first phase of construction begins on the West end of the Village and will only be temporary lane closures between 9am and 3:00pm.
